Terms & Conditions
Bookings & Deposits
Terms of Service: Nex Generation Surf School
1. Booking and Deposits
To secure a lesson or camp date, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
NO REFUNDS:
All deposits for surf lessons are strictly non-refundable, unless it is for camps or packaged lessons in which you have 3 days after purchase to cancel your booking.
* Life-Transferable: While deposits are non-refundable, they are transferable for life. If you cannot make your scheduled date, your credit will remain on file indefinitely. You may also transfer your deposit to another person (friend or family member) provided you notify us in writing.
2. Weather and Ocean Conditions
Surfing is an outdoor activity subject to the elements. By booking, you acknowledge that weather and ocean conditions are beyond our control.
* Standard Conditions: Lessons will proceed in rain, wind, or "less than ideal" surf conditions. These are not valid grounds for cancellation or rescheduling by the student.
* Safety Cancellations (Lightning): We prioritize student safety. Lessons will only be postponed or rescheduled by the school in the event of lightning or extreme hazardous conditions as determined by our lead instructors.
* School Cancellations: If we must cancel due to lightning, your deposit will be applied to a rescheduled date. No cash refunds will be issued.
3. Rescheduling Policy
To maintain our instructor schedules, we require at least 48 hours notice to move a booking.
* Requests made with less than the required notice may result in a forfeiture of the deposit to cover instructor costs.
* Rescheduled lessons are subject to current availability.
4. Physical Requirements and Safety
* Swimming Ability: All students must be able to swim and be in good physical health.
* Assumption of Risk: Surfing involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical exertion, contact with surfboards/fins, and ocean currents. By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the activity.
* Waiver: A signed Liability Waiver is required for all participants before entering the water. Minors must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
5. Equipment
Students are responsible for the equipment provided (boards, wetsuits, leashes).
* Any damage caused by negligence or failure to follow instructor directions may result in a repair or replacement fee.
